05 / 09REJLERS · MUNICIPAL PLANNING ENGAGEMENT2023–2024

Research and projections that became two of three sections in an adopted municipal energy plan.

Current-state analysis and projections for Lidingö Municipality's energy plan under Sweden's Act (1977:439) on municipal energy planning.

Rejlers municipal energy-planning engagement

Challenge

Lidingö Municipality needed a comprehensive energy plan covering current state, projections and planned actions, supported by public data and suitable for statutory consultation.

My contribution

Within a three-person Rejlers team, I independently researched and authored the plan's current-state and projection sections in Swedish, while the action-plan component sat outside my ownership.

Approach

Mapped the municipality's existing energy system using public data sources.

Developed projections for future energy use and system development.

Compared peer municipal plans to make the analysis materially more comprehensive and useful.

Outcome

The plan passed through formal statutory consultation and was adopted essentially as written by Lidingö's municipal council.

Deliverables

  • Current-state analysis
  • Energy projections
  • Swedish-language plan sections
  • Public-data evidence base
